Control Systems
The most important consideration for classroom technology is ease of use. Well designed control systems assure this by providing an intuitive user interface, flexible automated or manual configuration of all devices, and solid reliability. Keypad controllers such as Extron’s MediaLink® Plus are simple devices that provide functionality to operate a typical single display classroom AV system. They have an intuitive user interface consisting of a few backlit mechanical or touchscreen buttons and perhaps a volume control and can be set up to control multiple devices with the push of a single button. The AV system can be activated for the day’s lessons as easily as turning on the lights. Their rugged construction stands up well to the rigors of daily classroom use. For more sophisticated applications our TouchLink® Pro touchpanels, coupled with our IP Link® Pro xi control processors, provide the advantages of a customizable graphical user interface, the ability to configure macro control functions for virtually unlimited AV system automation, and sleek aesthetics with vibrant color graphics on durable glass screens.
